Significant Energy Savings and Emission Reductions Achieved with EGA's Fume Treatment Upgrade

EGA's fume treatment system has been identified as having significant energy-saving potential. Previously, the plant fans were operated using mechanical dampers, a method that is not highly efficient. As part of a pilot project, EGA selected Innomotics Perfect Harmony GH180 drives. Following the assessment, these VFDs achieved a 20% energy savings in the fume treatment system of EGA's Jebel Ali power plant.

20% energy savings
3360 MWh* saved (4 fans x 840)
1,600t CO2*
* Reduction (average global carbon intensity of electricity generation 481g CO2)
24/7 Service Availability, Remore support capabilities, reduction in maintenance cost

Inspire IQ: Revolutionizing EGA's Operational Reliability with Smart Condition Monitoring

The smart condition monitoring system, Inspire IQ, was implemented in 2021 and is currently managed under a 3-year long-term contract. Thanks to the remote support capabilities of our Digital System, Inspire IQ, EGA has significantly reduced the need for on-site intervention by Innomotics engineers during failure events. Additionally, our Inspire IQ contract guarantees 24/7 service support with a response time of 120 minutes or less, ensuring maximum operational efficiency and reliability.

With InspireIQ, we can monitor our VSDs remotely, allowing us to address minor issues without the need for on-site engineer intervention.
