Industrial Heat Pumps

Convert electricity to heat up to 5x better than gas boilers

Heat pumps at ENECO

The most efficient technology for converting electricity into heat

Industrial heating is one of the largest contributors to energy consumption in industries, with over 70% of process heat still relying on fossil fuels, driving up CO₂ emissions and operational costs. The IEA projects that heat pumps could meet up to 90% of global heating demands, essential for low- and medium-temperature applications.

Industrial heat pumps efficiently convert electricity into heat, providing thermal output up to 5 times higher than their electrical input. Capable of supporting processes up to 150°C, they help reduce fossil fuel dependence in industries such as food, paper, and chemicals, while also laying the foundation for future district heating networks.

Our electrical drives portfolio helps you to reduce energy use, lower costs, cut CO₂ emissions, and achieve your sustainability goals.

How industrial heat pumps work

Thermal energy is everywhere—air, ground, wastewater, and rivers. However, the temperature of these sources is typically too low for direct utilization. Industrial heat pumps address this challenge by transferring this low-temperature energy to a higher temperature level – up to 150 °C. Through a process of heat absorption, compression, and release, heat pumps efficiently convert and elevate energy for heating or cooling purposes. This technology enables the use of existing thermal energy, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and enhancing energy efficiency in residential and industrial applications.
